Emma Betty: The Story Teller
Hi there. I'm Emma Lewis-Griffiths (nicknamed Betty by my nearest & dearest).
I am an experienced communications consultant, with 11 years experience across marketing, PR, events and social media. My real passion is people over the platforms that are used to reach them, so If you've got something you want people to talk about, then I can help to get them talking. Before going freelance in April 2016, I spent six years at PR Week's 2016 Specialist Consultancy of the year, so I've got plenty of experience in creating award winning campaigns that influence real behaviour change and i've worked with some big brands including Morrisons and Holland & Barrett.
Passionate about telling your story
I'm passionate about bringing people together, on and offline, and getting them talking about what matters to them. The Social Club helps brands tell their story using the best channels for them. From taking you through a planning process to establish what you need as a start up business, to creating a clear social strategy that will get the right people talking, I offer a bespoke PR service for every team I work with and I'm happy to work remotely or alongside you at your office.
When I'm not working on a project with my clients at The Social Club, I can usually be found designing and making things for my Etsy shop Bets & Bobs, or collaborating with interesting people on my latest venture as part of the Born Curious Collective.
Emma Pryke: The Content Coach
Another Emma to add to the mix, my speciality within the Social Club is content coaching and digital marketing strategy.
Starting my career in the hospitality industry stoked my passion for food and ever since I’ve been involved in this world in some capacity, be it on the floor serving, eating out or marketing! I’ve got nearly ten years experience in online marketing, working in house for a deli/restaurant group and then spending 5 years at an experiential Travel Agent (Rickshaw Travel) where I specialised in creating SEO friendly copy for the website, engaging digital content strategies and organising events to share the story of the business.
Getting creative with online content
Since going freelance in early 2016 I’ve worked with plenty of independents, developing brand tone of voice, social media training, content analysis and ongoing digital marketing strategies to boost awareness and ultimately - revenue! My approach is friendly and inclusive, with a keen eye for detail and a knack for understanding the varied needs of individual businesses. Online PR and content tend to merge very well in today’s digital environment and it's great to be working alongside Emma, providing clear strategies and workshops for our clients.
Outside of work? I’ll be in found in the kitchen hosting for friends, visiting one of my many favourite restaurants in the city or hanging out with the Lady of our Manor, Penelope the cat.
